The thick and mellow Fulltone Inductor sounds very different from the thin and trashy audio
transformer. Being thick and trashy, I want it all.
OK, I added a SP3T center-off switch to select the Fulltone Inductor, the Rogue Inductor, or both in
series. It reminds me of a coil tap on a humbucker, both in wiring and in sound. The Fulltone has
more midrange, but the Rogue has more treble. So the Fulltone would thicken up a Strat, and the
Rogue would remove the mush from a humbucker. Both in series is darker still. So, it's a matter of
taste, audience, style, guitar, and amp. The "Range" switch doesn't make one sound like the other,
unfortunately. If you get them the right way around, you get a hum-cancelling effect.
One possibility is a 2-pole 6-way "Range" Switch, 3 positions have the Fulltone, 3 positions have
the Rogue. The other pole switches in different caps, as in the original "Range" switch. So you
have your "White Room", "Shaft", "Voodo", "Schenker", "Zappa" and "Disco Duck" positions. 6
Wahs in one, user-friendly.
Anyway, I am "Dazed and Confused" at this point, I have a 4-way cap switch and a 3-way Inductor
switch, maybe that would do.
